Privacy policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
Raahi is an intercity ride-sharing app run by KONANKI GOPIRAJU (sole proprietor), Hyderabad, Telangana, India. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Phone number — to sign you in. We send a one-time code by WhatsApp or SMS through our messaging providers.
- Profile — your name, photo and date of birth.
- Driver verification — a photo of your driving licence, seen only by our verification team.
- Trips and bookings — the rides you publish or book, pickup and drop-off spots, prices, and messages you exchange with your co-travellers in the app.
- Trip location — only while a trip is in progress, only if you turn on location sharing, and only as an occasional last-known point. It is deleted 24 hours after the trip ends.
- Device data — a notification token so we can tell you about bookings, and basic logs to keep the service secure.
How we use it
- To run the service: sign-in, matching drivers and passengers, bookings, chat and notifications.
- To keep people safe: verifying drivers, handling reports, and preventing fraud and abuse.
- We do not sell your data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who sees what
- Your co-travellers see your name, photo and trip details. Your phone number is shared only as the app describes, for a confirmed trip.
- Service providers process data for us: cloud hosting, maps, push notifications, and WhatsApp/SMS delivery of sign-in codes.
- We may disclose data when the law requires it.
Your choices
- Privacy controls in the app let you choose whether to show your photo before booking, share your location during trips, and show your trip count.
- You can download a copy of your data from the app.
- You can delete your account from the app at any time. We then delete or anonymise your personal data, keeping only what the law requires.
